Canon is a visual studies journal by first year graduate students in Visual and Critical Studies at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Canon addresses the field of visual culture, foregrounding hybrid artistic and critical practices and seeking to feature people working outside conventional means of producing, disseminating, and engaging with images.
